eReader Case Files- The future of professional document viewing
There are many cases when professionals need to have documents at hand but are not able to access their corporate EDMS.
The new wave of eReader devices, led by iRex Technologies' Iliad eReader has the potential to allow "Case Files" - a set of related documents, to be viewed in meetings, court rooms, whilst traveling and in any other situation where the corporate systems cannot be accessed.
To fulfill this potential,
software solutions to provide a bridge between EDMS and eReader systems is needed, and this is an active area of development for Aquaforest. Many of Aquaforest's existing products can be used as a basis for the bridge.
Key Issues :
Extraction of all relevant documents and metadata
Automatic construction of case file index pages
Reformatting of documents and document images into a form suitable for the eReader
Automation of the process in a user-friendly manner, allowing the user to easily select the relevant cases from the EDMS and transfer the generated Case File to the eReader.
